L'Île ROUSSE (15 mins from Algajola)
A charming little town, perfect for strolling around and having lunch. The beach at Île-Rousse is also very pleasant!

Superb location (mountain views), delicious and varied local dishes, and very pleasant service. Please note: cash only and reservations are strongly recommended.

Osteria U Mulinu (30 mins from Algajola)
For an ultra (mega) authentic and memorable evening. An old mill converted into a restaurant, 100% family-run. The place is magical, the family is hilarious, and the dishes are homemade and 100% local. Please note: cash only, reservations recommended and be prepared, the owner won't let you leave before you've had 5 shots.

U NICHJARETU (25 mins from CaLvi)
One of our favorite restaurants in Corsica, mainly because of its magical location. A stone restaurant, grilled meats, a cove, and nothing but a view of the sea.

2-5 DAY ROAD TRIP
Between Bastia and Ajaccio
Probably one of the most beautiful road trips we've ever done! The landscapes and views are breathtaking. You can do the whole road trip or just part of it (hence the 2 to 5 day recommendation).
One small point: the roads are rather winding, but it's a thousand times worth it. The trip can be done in either direction!
Departure (or arrival) from BASTIA
If you are arriving or departing from Bastia, we recommend spending half a day or an evening there. L'Hôtel des Gouverneurs is great (very nice view, excellent breakfast and great value for money.).
Recommended detour (CAP CORSE): Erbalunga AND/OR NONZA

Nonza: lunch, drinks, or dinner at the Sassa, A sublime restaurant perched above a black sand beach. The view and the food are exceptional.

NIGHT 2: CALVI
For an afternoon or evening out, enjoy dinner at Bubulle's favorite restaurant: U Nichjaretu - 25 mins from Calvi, completely alone in a cove.
NIGHT 3: PIANA
Absolutely stunning! Probably the most beautiful view in all of Corsica, with rocky mountains stretching as far as the eye can see. We stayed at Capo Rosso (great restaurant), otherwise there's the Hôtel des Roches Rouges. Don't miss: Ficaghjola Beach, extremely charming with its tiny fishermen's houses.
Arrival or departure from Ajaccio
Ideal for enjoying the beach and Corsican weather: the beach Mare é Sol.
Places to have diner : Saparelle ou Lagnonu.
If you have some time and feel like going on a short(ish) hike, les Pozzi are sublime (2-3 hours walking there and 2-3 hours back). As for hotels, the most beautiful (but not the most affordable) : Lagnonu, otherwise Le Sofitel or Les Mouettes (central).
